Summary
Are you tired of the same routine? Want to play an integral role in building something bigger? Ibotta is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist who will help build out our new data products vertical. The Sr. Data Scientist will report to the Head of Ibottalytics. As the Sr. Data Scientist you will be responsible for developing our analytics products, defending our methodology, and identifying ways to normalize and standardize our data assets.
Responsibilities
* Run statistical analysis and create predictive models based on past user purchases and behavior * Investigate data quality issues, ensure our data meets certain metrics and standards * Develop algorithms and tools for user targeting, personalization, information retrieval, and machine-learning for media placement and consumer insights * Collaborate closely with Head of Ibottalytics to develop metrics, conduct experiments, analyze results, and improve our data products portfolio * Identify new products or capabilities that can be delivered to clients based on Ibotta’s proprietary data sources * Serve as expert internally and externally on data science methodologies
Ideal Candidate
* MS in computer science (PhD preferred) or equivalent experience * Extensive experience with Big Data storage and analysis technologies * R&D background in machine learning, statistics, or information retrieval * Industry familiarity in the computational advertising space, in particular around areas such as audience modeling and extension or Nielsen panel creation and normalization * Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python * Experience with common data analysis tools, such as R * Proven track record of turning prototypes into live production systems with measurable business benefits * A demonstrated record of delivering projects in the face of significant ambiguity * Excellent communication skills in English * 7+ years of industry experience
