Oracle Database Administrator

IBM Client Innovation Center in Rouge has immediate opportunities for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a passion for growth and innovation. The Oracle DBA will support day to day database operations. Specifically, managing the back-end databases for Enterprise Business Applications in an Oracle Exadata, Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) environment, with a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System; and a small number Advanced IBM Unix Legacy databases. The candidate must be fluent in all aspects of database administration. Particularly, the installation/patching of Oracle Databases, the Cloning or Upgrading of Oracle Databases, Backup and Recovery of Oracle Databases, Oracle cluster configuration, Performance tuning at the database and Operating System level, and Database root cause issue investigation/resolution.

* Supporting large-scale Oracle implementation/upgrade projects * Managing critical enterprise business applications * Implementing and managing database backup and recovery procedures, using RMAN * Performing application code refreshes and/or data load/conversions * Developing database objects by creating custom PL/SQL programs for web-based applications. * Delivering Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) migrations and data warehousing solutions * Familiar with ASM, DataGuard, Advanced Compression and Data Masking process * Performing database space management and monitoring, using tools such as Oracle 12c Cloud Control, custom automation scripts, etc. * Performing database reorganizations, statistics and other applicable utilities to ensure proper database function and performance based on Oracle best practice methodology * Tuning and configuring databases on an Oracle Exadata * Monitoring Oracle database services on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System environment * Performing facts based problem investigation/resolution with a sense of urgency * Creating and maintaining database memory structures * Maintaining and implementing database security changes as required * Installing and maintaining server and client software; and manage connectivity issuesIn addition, the candidate should have the knowledge and experience to serve as a technical resource that can interact at a high-level with business-users, clients, and executive management with regards to the functionality of Oracle technology.

* Associate's Degree/College Diploma * At least 5 years experience in Oracle 10g * At least 5 years experience in Oracle 11g * At least 3 years experience in Oracle (Grid Infrastructure/Computer Reservations System) aka RAC * At least 2 years experience in Oracle Cloud Control 12c * At least 2 years experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 and 6.2 * Readiness to travel Up to 2 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements) * English: Basic knowledge **Preferred Technical and Professional Experience** * Bachelor's Degree * At least 7 years experience in Oracle 10g * At least 7 years experience in Oracle 11g * At least 5 years experience in Oracle (Grid Infrastructure/Computer Reservations System) aka RAC * At least 3 years experience in Oracle Cloud Control 12c * At least 3 years experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 and 6.2 * At least 3 years experience in Oracle Data Guard * At least 6 months experience in SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008r2, 2012 * Certified in Oracle 11G * English : Intermediate
