We are currently seeking a SEM Manager who is ready to be a part of a new and exciting department at Hirshorn-Zuckerman Design Group (HZ) in Rockville, MD. We’re looking for someone who is committed, hard working, intellectually curious and has a good sense of humor.
- Top-to-bottom management of SEO campaigns; generating ranking reports, conducting site audits, handling client concerns, etc.
- Hands-on optimization; improving site structure, page construction, content, keyword lists, and SEO copywriting.
- Keyword research that includes competitive analysis and identifying unique keyword opportunities across industries, B2C and B2B markets
- Devise and implement link building strategies unique to client markets
- Management of multiple client SEO campaigns and reporting platforms such as Moz, SEMRush and Buzzstream
- Staying up-to-date on search engine algorithmic changes, and being able to make confident recommendations to clients and colleagues in a timely manner (i.e. know when to say go, stop or wait)
- Creative discovery and strategizing on keyword opportunities in website architecture
- Monitoring performance of multiple SEO vendors
- Identify performance indicators for SEO that everyone understands and that complement overall marketing and business objectives
- Research, identify and establish partnerships with authoritative web sites for link-building
- Weekly “reading room” meetings with team members to review current SEO developments and best practices
Skill Set :
- Blogging/writing experience (send writing examples)
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics
- Experience with social tracking tools like Radian6, Adobe SiteCatalyst and Engage121
- Direct client management experience
- Agency experience
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of hands-on SEO experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the website design & build process
- Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and programs
- Proven track record of successful SEO strategy and implementation
- Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies
- Proficient with SEO reporting and analytical tools, including familiarity and confidence in Google Analytics
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to create clear and understandable presentations from data
- Intermediate skill level in HTML, javascript, CSS and jQuery
