Hirshorn Zuckerman Design Group, Inc. (HZ) is an independent, branding and design company specializing in high-impact, integrated marketing solutions. We’re looking for a junior copywriter. Fun and funny would be ideal. Hardworking, a must. Our writers are conceptual thinkers who are also responsible for bringing those big ideas to life in print, on the web, and in social media. But if you’re the type who needs constant feedback and handholding, this isn’t the place for you. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience copywriting. This person must possess exceptional writing skills, with the ability to contribute to creative development for a wide range of communications, advertising and marketing materials that include print, tv, outdoor, branding, interactive and digital media. This person would work both independently and as member of a creative team.

* Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of our clients' branding, advertising and marketing initiatives * Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts * Take part in creative concepting and collaborate with the designers to develop creative concepts for clients * Work closely with art directors and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style

* Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or other related field * At least 5 years professional experience writing for print and online * Working in an agency environment a plus * Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences * Experience with strategic conceiting, campaign development and creative execution * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands * A good sense of humor
