Senior Payroll Specialist

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and progressive experience with fast paced, high volume domestic payroll within medium to large organizations

Our Sr. Payroll Analysts are responsible for the timely, accurate, compliant and confidential processing of timekeeping, payroll and labor management data supporting an associate base of approximately 1200 Hypertherm associates located in the United States. The ultimate goal is to protect the company’s assets in relation to global payroll. Payroll Analysts must understand HR, payroll systems, and system integrations ensuring the integrity of associates’ personal/confidential information while exercising independent judgment, as well as discretion and tact, in articulating policy, advising and conferring with associates regarding payroll processes.

* Independently motivated, collaborative team player, adaptable * Ability to work autonomously, see the “big picture” while not losing sight of the smallest detail * Basic Accounting knowledge required as you will be independently entering your own journal entries to our general ledger and reconciling payroll accounts * Experience with Kronos HRIS and Time Keeper Systems, ADP * Strong system experience with HRIS and Payroll systems and some experience with defined contribution plans (401K, ESOP) * Advanced knowledge of payroll related laws/regulations and standard payroll practices. * Demonstrated knowledge of payroll preventative and detective controls * Working knowledge of accounting and GAAP * Ability to lead team projects **Preferred:** * Certified Payroll Specialist * Experience with ADP Vantage * Experience with international payroll * Multilingual * BackEmail
