Humana is seeking a Coder to identify, collect, assess, monitor and document claims and encounter coding information as it pertains to Clinical Condition Categories. Verify and ensure the accuracy, completeness, specificity and appropriateness of diagnosis codes based on services rendered.

* Review medical record information to identify all appropriate coding based on CMS HCC categories. * Complete appropriate paperwork/documentation/system entry regarding claim/encounter information. * Support and participate in process and quality improvement initiatives.

**Role Essentials** * Certified Medical Coder with either CPC or CCS with high degree of competency in this area * Ability to travel 75%-100% across the West Palm Beach, North Brevard counties * Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle * Prior coding experience in a medical office environment, 1-2 years preferred * Knowledge and experience in health care environment/managed care * Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical, organizational and time management skills * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office XP products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * High school diploma or equivalent required **Role Desirables** * Bachelor’s Degree * Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding * Knowledge of ICD-10 coding
