We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our American Fork, Utah – based team. This is an exciting position in a fast moving project that requires the ability of candidates to hit the ground running. - Manage a team of software engineers that architect and design software
- Write product requirement documents, implement and track development timelines, and negotiate feature sets with the development leads and product teams
- Lead and direct the work of others
- Lead the engineering process, requirements definition, system design, implementation, design verification, test, and release to manufacturing along with being responsible for the direct management of the team
- Deliver commitments on time, on scope and with quality
- Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and evolving environment, to drive delivery of solutions while influencing cultural change
- Monitor competitive landscape and technology trends to help guide application direction
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines
Basic Requirements:
- BS in a related field with 8 years related engineering experience; or an MS with 5 years of related experience
- 5+ years of direct report supervisory experience with teams of 5 or more individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accustomed to accelerated development cycles across concurrent projects with a proven track record of meeting deliverables
- Significant experience in operating within software development methodologies
- Knowledge of industry standards concerning development behaviors and design patterns for highly scalable, real-time embedded systems
- Demonstrated technical savvy and ability to connect with Senior Engineers on technical and interpersonal plane
- Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional, cross-stack projects with an execution mindset
- Experienced leader and advocate for their employees, business, and overall team deliverables
- Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
