Hughes is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst II to support our finance team in Germantown, Maryland.

* Perform key role in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process. * Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations to assist management in understanding business performance. * Preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results. * Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for key business activities and functional areas. * Interacts regularly with senior management at divisional levels.

* Strong accounting knowledge * Strong research and analysis skills * Skilled in using Excel and Access * Master degree in Finance or Accounting * Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently * Ability to manage competing priorities * Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal) **Basic Requirements:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. * 4 years Corporate Finance or Accounting background.
