Summary
By supporting experienced construction professionals on jobs varying in difficulty, your role will enable you to better learn the trade, develop your skills in project management, and qualify your advancement from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager.
Responsibilities
* Assist with creating project budgets with complete scope coverage and without gaps. * Aid in subcontractor work negotiations; ensure they are timely, in-scope, and compliant. * Support project superintendents in preparing and managing project schedules. * Help control field costs in conjunction with project superintendents. * Support timely project funding by administrating monthly pay requisitions. * Ensure all approved project material is available in accordance with the project schedule. * Coordinate and evaluate subordinate supervisors. * Contribute to the maintenance of all documentation to ensure reflection of approved revisions including: drawings, specifications, subcontracts, change orders, requests for information, submittals, shop drawings, plan revisions, and written directives.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree in construction management/related field; or similar practice/training. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. * Knowledge of Procore and Primavera P6. * PMP and/or LEED accreditation desired. * 3-5 years construction management experience with multi-million dollar projects. * Familiarity with commercial, multi-family, and/or mixed-use construction projects. * Comprehensive knowledge of construction codes and ordnances. * Skilled in executing detailed material take-offs and line-item budgets. * Ability to effectively communicate and present information to external clients/audiences. **Additional Requirements:** * You will occasionally need to lift or move up to 50 pounds * You will be regularly exposed to adverse conditions (including, but not limited to bad weather, dust, and noise) and required to talk, hear, stand, and walk long distances * You must be able to get around sites and buildings under construction, which includes climbing stairs and ladders.
