Fuel Systems Mechanic

This position will support the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) program. The HEMTT program is located an hour north of Reno, NV at the Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, CA. This program consists of over 50 HEMTT Mechanics, Painters, and Welders and supports modifications and repair parts warehousing in order to produce a 98% first time Quality Assurance pass rate for refurbished HEMTT delivery schedules.

* Part of the HEMTT Fuel Tank Test Mechanic Team * HEMTT M978 Fuel Tanker Maintenance and 60 PSI fuel system pressure test Section. * Meet cycle time for production schedule. * Meet 98% First Time Pass Rate to customer QA inspection Quality standard. * Cost control for repair parts forecasting and component rebuild. * Ensures safe OSHA work environment and safe training for also exposed to confined space in fuel tanker. * Provides and track accurate forecasting of parts with cost control and better trouble shooting and component repair in mind. * Ensure proper individual safety environment and program to include confined space training and fuel vapor hazard mitigation. * Engages team mates for lean and continuous process improvement ideas to reduce waste time, movement, and cost.

* High School or GED plus 6 years of related experience * Additional Qualifications: * Knowledge of M978 HEMTT Tanker fuel system maintenance and repair * Ability to pass background check to gain access to work site on US military installation. * Able to work in austere environment in heat and cold. * Current valid US Driver’s license
