We’re building a new Global Honeywell User Experience (HUE) Design Center of Excellence to create our next generation of products, services and customer experiences. We are seeking an ambitious Lead Visual Designer to implement UI and Interaction design direction and execute on HUE strategy for BendixKing, a Honeywell brand supporting the general aviation market. This is a newly created position based out of BendixKing’s headquarters in Albuquerque, NM. As a top candidate you will contribute directly to creating the next generation of BendixKing branded digital user experiences for web, app, and light-aircraft avionics. You will lead execution of visual design direction and implement HUE strategy. You’ll need a deep understanding of design principles and will be able to illustrate delightful visual designs, layouts, navigation systems, and user interfaces to grow brand equity and achieve user-experience objectives. This position requires a mature designer with a proven track record of released product. This position reports directly to the HUE Leader for Bendix King and will be responsible for visual and interaction design activities throughout the BendixKing enterprise. You will work with other Honeywell Aerospace UX design leaders in an interdisciplinary design team to create the framework and best practices for a world-class design organization. Together, we will create design strategies, advanced design concepts and deliver outstanding products to market.

- Leading Visual and Interaction Design across the BendixKing brand. - Providing a clear, consistent perspective on design and digital-UX requirements to project teams and stakeholders. - Creating and executing beautiful designs that differentiate our brand in the global aviation marketplace. - Developing wire frames, prototypes, user journeys, high-fidelity concepts, and digital-UX best practices. - Work closely with human factors, development, and marketing teams to ensure that Visual and Interaction Design practices & standards become integral in their work-flow. - Foster the development of innovative and strategic design solutions based on user research. - Coordinate with HUE and Brand leadership to deploy and evolve the BendixKing design language and interaction models. - Model Honeywell core values and behaviors.

As a HUE Design Lead, you will need to have the following talents, skills and experiences: - Strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction design expertise to released product. - Demonstrated experience in developing and applying Design Language and Style Guides. - Understanding of how to balance complex data, marketing requirements, and usability. - Work closely with HUE and BendixKing project teams to guide, support and ensure consistent Interaction & Visual design application across the digital landscape. - Experience creating low-fidelity to high-fidelity, interactive and responsive prototypes. - Clear evidence of leadership, maturity, and the ability to get things done while handling multiple projects. **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in visual design, interaction design, or related degree. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Visual, Interaction, or UX design position. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in lead-designer position. **Additional Qualifications:** - Outstanding portfolio of both concepts and commercialized products. - Proven ability to lead and manage simultaneous projects of varying complexities. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude. - Fluent with interaction design analysis and visual prototyping tools e.g., iRise, Balsamiq, Axure, etc. - Experience with mobile and responsive designs. - Experience with HTML and CSS. - Location: Albuquerque, NM. - Please note: This key new position includes relocation benefits.
