The purpose of the Senior Originator position will be to originate mortgage loans for HFCU in accordance with secondary market standards, HFCU policies and standards and governing regulations. In addition, the position will provide recommendations to members for best loan product to fit their needs and collect appropriate documentation, as well as, provide excellent service and follow-up to members and realtors as well as ensure that lock dates and contract dates are met Lastly, this position will educate members on eligibility requirements, initiate sales contacts and participate in Home buying seminars, café' visits, and realtor events to promote mortgage lending at HFCU.

* Take application info, provide recommendations for best loan product, provide proper disclosures * Review DU feedback, collect & review documents, explain requirements to member * Follow-up thru process, lock rates, meet timelines for excellent service to member

* High School diploma or equivalent * Minimum 3 years recent Mortgage Loan Origination experience * Experience obtaining, reading and interpreting LP/DU feedback and performing rate locks * Other Mortgage lending process and credit union experience a plus * NMLS registered or licensed * Familiarity with product specifications and lending guidelines for conventional as well as government loan programs. * Great customer service skills required * Ability to meet deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment * Possess strong analytical skills, adept at analyzing pay statements and tax returns, understand components of appraisal and able to explain how valuations are established * Strong working knowledge of regulatory disclosure requirements * Strong communication skills required
