Responsibilities
* This position will require associate to program and manage the data collection system. * The primary focus is configuring PLC data collection programs to collect process data as changes are made to production equipment. This data includes the equipment and associate cycle times, process flow status and alarms. * Learn and understand our manufacturing processes and assist when needed. * Review automated daily production reports and solve data inconsistencies. Provide corrected report to delivery leader. * Work with production leaders to help associate enter data completely. * Communicate with New model and other groups that are implementing equipment changes to create new equipment flow layouts as needed. * Work with delivery group and engineering groups for data analysis and technical support. * Document equipment changes. * Confirm data accuracy and validity. * Project Management. **Daily Tasks:** * Assess and counter measure previous shifts issues/concerns. * Work on short and long-term process improvements and projects. * Answer calls from production in a timely manner. * Participate in daily engineering communication meetings. * Support production to achieve daily targets.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven ability and knowledge in electro-mechanical manufacturing systems. * Ability to lead medium to large projects. * Prepare and present detailed reports and summaries. * Self-motivated with the ability to work well with little supervision. * Configure PLC communications IP address routing table set up. * Connect PLC and IT infrastructures and confirm connectivity. * Program PLC sequence (Per Management specification). * Troubleshoot ladder logic and Ethernet communications. * Short and long-term Project Management skills **Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Advanced PLC programming * Knowledge of Omron CX-One Suite * Understanding of production characteristics * Understanding of Cycle time and process flow and equipment efficiencies. * Background working with Kepware and OPC client. * Ability to interpret data collected for one piece of equipment. * Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Lotus Notes/Outlook * Motoman Robot Experience **Required Experience:** * Minimum of three years in industrial automation or process analysis experience. **Education Requirements:** * BS in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
