Summary
Be part of the team that designs, implements and manages the global network infrastructure for HomeAway, Inc. This continually growing state of the art converged voice, video and data network currently includes 18 offices worldwide and multiple data centers. Reporting to the Infrastructure Operations Manager, this person is expected to support and deploy implementations in a dynamic and challenging environment. Must be able to communicate with both technical and management peers and be able to pick up new concepts rapidly, as well as, being highly self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail. Will work both individually and in a team environment to drive new initiatives and complete existing projects.
Responsibilities
* Support and Implementation for a complex IP-based LAN/WAN network infrastructure and its need for security, stability and effective use of technology. * Interfacing with carriers when implementing, designing and troubleshooting MPLS and MAN networks. * Providing day-to-day support by analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving incidents and projects. * Providing 24x7 on-call support as required, including ability to work a flexible off-hours schedule for planned/unplanned issues, as needed
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years or more experience and implementation skills with Cisco routing and switching and security devices including: * Nexus architecture (7k, 5k, 2k) in both a 10G and 1G in a data center environment. * Cisco ASA Firewalls both prior to and after 8.4 OS revisions (including NAT, ACLs, L2L and SSL VPN) * Cisco IOS routers (ISRs) * Cisco ACS (Radius and TACACS+) Authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) * Cisco Unified Compute System (UCS) * Unified Fabric for both Networking and Storage * Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, 802.1x, MPLS, BGP and OSPF routing including best practices and current deployment experience. * Ability to troubleshoot and understand packet flows through a complex network, using both dynamic and static routing, as well as site-to-site VPN tunnels. **Bonus** * VPC, virtual contexts and fabric path experience on Nexus 7k/5k/2k * DMVPN, GRE and IPSEC design and debugging experience * VMware network implementation experience (distributed switching, Nexus 1000V) * Experience with Juniper UAC (VPN, 802.1x and NAC) * Citrix Netscaler load balancer (MPX, SDX, VPX) * Linux skills and scripting (bash, perl, Ruby, etc.) * Level3/Global Crossing MPLS carrier experience * Automation of network devices and configuration via puppet * Visio / Network Diagramming Skills **Travel** - Occasional travel required to HomeAway offices and data centers, including international.
