Summary
The Financial Analyst - Asset Management functions within asset management to provide extensive analysis and support for the Director of Asset Management. While the Financial Analyst will have many specific responsibilities, the primary responsibility is to review and analyze property and market data to provide strategic recommendations to the Director of Asset Management and other ownership entity representatives in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values. We are seeking a team player with a strong work ethic that offers exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow through. The Holland Team consists of Associates that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate with the Director of Asset Management to define the long-term strategy for each asset as well as the short-term objectives that are imperative to ensure assets achieve maximum value. * Responsible for financial analysis and reporting of asset performance within the Holland portfolio including existing and potential acquisitions and developments. * Create and evaluate financial models used to support investment decisions. * Evaluate current cash position and forecast asset performance to determine appropriate cash distributions to partners. * Complete valuations of assets in the real estate portfolio for use in corporate reporting. Prepare and routinely update investment narratives and business plans for assets within the Holland portfolio. * Assist Acquisition and Development team members with underwriting of potential investments and development of business plans. * Research and prepare reports on market and economic/demographic data for markets of interest. * Monitor capital expenditures and quantify the value of such improvements and provide recommendations on scope modifications to generate the highest ROI. * Provide due diligence documents to brokers and potential buyers during the acquisition and disposition processes. * Review monthly financial packages for selected owned assets and provide recommendations based on findings to ensure goals are achieved. * Complete ad-hoc analysis as requested.
Ideal Candidate
Education: Minimum BA/BS in Finance, Business or Accounting or related field required. Real estate background preferred. Experience: A minimum experience of three years in Real Estate, Finance or Accounting required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Strong analytical and financial skills * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Exemplary organizational and interpersonal skills. Independent self-starter. * Demonstrated ability to analyze key aspects of financial performance, e.g., costs, profits, assets, etc. * Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines in a dynamic and complex environment. * Proficient knowledge of the computer, including Microsoft Excel, Word, & Power Point. Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required. This position also requires: * Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 20lbs. * Flexibility in days and hours worked. * Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. * Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
