In 1970, entrepreneurs David and Barbara Green, along with their young family, began making miniature picture frames in their garage. A few years later, on August 3, 1972, the Green family opened the first Hobby Lobby store with a mere 300 square feet of retail space. Hobby Lobby has not stopped growing since.

Summary

The Photo Editor will be responsible for editing product images for the Hobby Lobby E-Commerce website using the most efficient method. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage time in a fast –paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Edit product images for E-Commerce website using the most efficient method, including background removal, retouching, collaging, cropping/resizing and color correction.
  • Meet expected weekly performance goals
  • Communicate with photography team on issues and re-shoots
  • Log and track daily productivity
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Bridge required
  • An eye for aesthetics in relation to composition, design and art
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment with tight deadlines while consistently editing quality photos in a timely manner.
  • Must have clear understanding of proper image formatting, editing, and enhancing techniques.
  • Professional experience in image retouching, editing, and/or photography
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task while independently prioritizing daily activities and unexpected distractions.
  • Understand directional light, and possess the ability to add realistic shadows and highlights to models and products
  • Must be able to work on a PC
  • Familiarity with art and craft products and Hobby Lobby brands is a plus
  • Experience editing product photography is a plus
Compensation and Working Conditions

Working Conditions

Hobby Lobby E-Commerce has two openings for a Photo Editor. This position is located at SW 44th and Council in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Hours are from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. This entry-level position is temporary to permanent.
