(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)In 1970, entrepreneurs David and Barbara Green, along with their young family, began making miniature picture frames in their garage. A few years later, on August 3, 1972, the Green family opened the first Hobby Lobby store with a mere 300 square feet of retail space. Hobby Lobby has not stopped growing since.
Hobby Lobby’s Art/Creative Department is looking for a graphic designer who possesses a growing artistic and design sensibility, knowledge of design technology, and is a dedicated team player. This graphic designer has a passion for design, humility to serve, and a commitment to excellence.
- Take part in developing exclusive products to be sold in Hobby Lobby stores from coast to coast.
- Be challenged by a diverse workload that could include anything from nationally distributed promotional materials and in-house packaging to corporate branding and advertising.
- Create designs to satisfy a diverse array of project objectives.
- Manage multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet the needs and expectations of the company.
- Effectively complete market research on current trends.
- Follow the art direction of direct supervisors’ and Hobby Lobby buyers
- Degree in graphic design or related field.
- Professional design experience (preferred).
- Advanced skill level in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, enhanced by attention to detail.
- Creative portfolio exemplifying Hobby Lobby brand standards.
- Ability and desire to build rapport with peers and team
- Be comfortable in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
- Have strong typography and illustration skills.
- Ability to accept and apply critiques and feedback.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position located at our corporate offices in Oklahoma City and no relocation assistance provided. Out of state and freelance work is not available for this position.
