Real Estate Acquisition Representative

HNTB is seeking a Real Estate Acquisition Rep to work in Houston, TX. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with public agencies and private individuals to identify, negociate, and purchase private property for public use or private projects.

* Communicates with property owner(s) to identify property that could be used in public projects. * Negotiates offering price for property. * Reviews property appraisals to assess value of private property for acquisition. * Works with design engineers and staff, reviews highway right-of-way plats, and interprets * construction plans to determine where property may need to be acquired. * Prepares all documentation related to negotiations, relocation, and imminent domain support.

* Associate's Degree in Real Estate or related area plus 5 years of experience. **Environment and Physical Requirements:** * Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
