Responsibilities
* Maintains established office files (electronic and hardcopy) and records in accordance with internal procedures. * Receives and refers visitors and telephone callers, may resolve routine inquiries. * Opens and distributes mail * May transcribe dictation according to standard formats. * Type material from rough drafts or revised typed drafts following standardized formats using * word processing equipment. * Drafts and type routine letters and memoranda from specific instructions. * Assembles and complies basic data for reports or presentations from established sources as directed. * May schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries and coordinates * related arrangements. * Performs general data input, processes labor and expense transactions, and corporate forms for general accounting and * projects * Works with HNTB applications to perform tasks to support office/department
Ideal Candidate
* High School diploma or GED. * Typically possesses a minimum of 1-2 years experience as clerk-typist or word processing operator. **Environment and Physical Requirements:** * Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
