Responsibilities
**Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:** * Responsible for interacting with customers, engineers and production personnel to handle price quotes and deliveries of development components. * Analyze project needs and compile cost estimates * Interact with customers to obtain all elements required to prepare accurate estimates. * Optimize job and material costs by working together with vendor/subcontractors through the quotations/bidding process for materials/services. * Stay current on all company pricing and manufacturing procedures. * Review customer blueprints and specifications and provide clear and accurate estimates of our costs and capabilities. * Document work and prepare technical notes and test reports as required. * Enter estimates into system using the New Product Introduction (“NPI”) standard format. * Verify and validate current estimating data by the use of time study, work measurement, and the analysis of shop floor job efficiency performance. * Document development progress through the NPI toll gate system in collaboration with assigned product engineer. * Participate in the preparation of customer proposal and presentations. **Additional Responsibilities:** * From time to time travel to customer site as needed for review of proposals. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating and/or engineering. Or an Associates degree with a minimum of 5-7 years experience. * Blueprint reading experience required.
