Summary
The Data Science team at HireVue partners with our Product team to build data-driven products that fundamentally change the way the world works. HireVue revolutionized the way interviewing is done and as a result has access to a data set that has never existed before and we are using that to change the way people get jobs, tell their story, form teams and do their work. Job interviewing was just the beginning.
Responsibilities
Data Scientists on our team contribute to every step of product development. As a member of the team you will: * Extract and analyze HireVue data set around human interactions and decisions * Formulate success metrics and algorithms for completely novel products. * Design and analyze experiments to test new product ideas. * Develop new algorithms and models to improve our products. HireVue’s rich data set combining video, audio, textual data combined with evaluation data is a fantastic playground for a Data Scientist. You’ll have the opportunity to work with an incredible team in an environment which truly values (read: is obsessed with) the value of data.
Ideal Candidate
* BS in a quantitative discipline: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, etc. * 1+ years experience working with large amounts of real data. * Expertise in applied statistics, including regression models and neural networks. * Able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses. * Able to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences * Expertise in a statistical software package (i.e. MATLAB, Octave, R, SciPy, JMP) * Proficiency in SQL. * Advanced skills in a scripting language such as Python. * Prefer a MS/PhD in a quantitative discipline: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, etc. * 3+ years experience working with large amounts of real data * Familiar with machine learning Python libraries like numpy, scikit, nltk, pandas, python
