Summary
* This role has primary responsibility for supporting the Company’s Veterinary Medicine Research and Development Procurement and Contract Management (PCM) Group with an emphasis on coordination of the legal agreement contracting process, including drafting, editing, processing, execution, filing, retention, and overall document management. * Support for other areas of PCM may also be included as needed.
Responsibilities
* Contracting Support Functions Perform a variety of functions in support of PCM according to established policies and procedures. * Prepare, edit, review, and manage from draft to execution, including signature process and tracking, legal agreement and any supporting documentation. * Fill in templates, with guidance from Contract Management, for simple, standard legal agreements such as Non-Disclosure, Consulting and Material Transfer agreements with external collaborators and entities. * Make necessary edits and revisions as needed to legal agreements. * Submit executed agreements to the corporate agreement management system and prepare to send to long term storage. Staff Assistance. * Provide assistance to VMRD staff and external parties by responding to questions on agreement drafts, policies and status of agreements. * Working with US Research and Development Procurement to harmonize legal agreement and Purchase Order requests. * Learn the entire PCM process from legal agreement to Purchase Order in order to assist with various tasks as needed. * Perform special projects as requested.
Ideal Candidate
* Soft Skills are critical. Ability to handle a lot of attention to detail; ability to handle large volumes of documents, electronically filing, spreadsheets, etc. * Administrative experience required. * Knowledge of procurement and contracts management tools and concepts desired. * Minimum of Associates Degree from an accredited college or university. Bachelor of Arts/Science degree preferred. * Ability to handle large volume of tasks. * Excellent written and communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills. * Positive customer service attitude. * Ability to multi-task. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule. * Fluency with the Microsoft Office software suite. * Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
