Summary
We’re looking for a Director of User Experience who can imagine the big picture, develop the discipline and help us all reach for the stars every day. Responsibilities
* Establish a vision and strategy for our user experience discipline and lead the day-to-day pursuit of excellent design * Ensure that strategy and execution aligns with end user needs, brand positioning, business requirements and team resources * Build, lead and develop a strong, collaborative team by fostering an imaginative, communicative and efficient environment * Manage the day to day creation of process flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to test and communicate designs across web and mobile platforms * Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to inform the approach, identify opportunities and drive continual improvements in our user experience Maintain a coherent design vision and honor brand aesthetics throughout the production process * Work closely with stakeholders across the organization * Establish a continuous improvement model for Healthline’s design approach, tools, processes and best practices
Ideal Candidate
* 6+ years of experience with and extensive knowledge of UX best practices, principles, frameworks * Bachelor's degree or higher in Design, Interface Design, Interaction Design or related field, or equivalent work experience * Track record – at least 3 years – of leading UX teams and working across organizational boundaries in a high traffic, consumer facing web/mobile environment. Media website experience a plus * Proven success developing direct reports * Ability to assimilate research and thrive in a data-driven environment * Ability to explore, develop and refine solutions and design patterns with full consideration of visual branding * Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with and inspire team members at all levels of our company * Self-awareness, healthy emotional quotient and genuine interest in cultivating a culture that seeks excellence * Experience operating within and leading multiple agile teams working across different audience segments Ability to lead and guide meetings Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Optimizely, Google Analytics and wireframe tools, such as Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq, or OmniGraffle. A solid understanding of HTML / CSS
