Junior Software Engineer

HealthcareSource is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to provide both internal and external technical support for its healthcare-specific talent management products.

The Junior Software Engineer is responsible for providing appropriate solutions to client issues and escalating unresolved issues within established guidelines. This position is expected to provide guidance and to complete a high volume of assigned requests sent by the implementation and account management teams and from our external client base. The individual will work independently to complete the assigned requests and will have the autonomy to develop new means and processes for best getting the job done. * Debug issues reported and provide services team with clear explanations and workarounds. * Serve as liaison between services and engineering and escalate items as appropriate. * Create SQL scripts to resolve reported issues and to provide clients with data not readily available in reporting options. * Serve as the department’s technical resource. * Respond to client emails and phone calls as needed. * Identify and document product trends and bugs, document potential fixes and escalate appropriately. * Experience building and supporting web sites.

* Experience writing complex SQL queries * Experience in ASP.Net , C#, HTML, JavaScript and CSS * Strong written and oral communications skills, including ability to explain technical matters to non-technical people * Ability to identify product trends and escalate them accordingly * Capacity to work in an interruptive environment and still deliver quality solutions * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required * Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies with minimal supervision * Experience with a modern IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.) * Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server * Experience with ASP.NET/C#(utilizing version 4.0 or above of the .NET framework), XML, DHTML, CSS, JSON * Experience with web services and custom windows services
