Responsibilities
Primary work tasks may include traffic analysis and microsimulation, assistance with safety studies, assistance with signal design, and assistance with travel demand forecasting. Work tasks may include the use of Synchro and TransModeler analysis software, GIS-based applications, and database research. - Performs tasks that include preparation of simple designs and calculations. - Develops technical reports, memos, and letters documenting projects - Makes technical decisions of a routine nature. - Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc. - Receives detailed instructions as to required tasks. - Receives objectives and technical advice from supervisor. - Performs standard practices and techniques in specific situations. - Performs assignments using standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors of Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university required. - E.I., E.I.T., or F.E. certification preferred. - 0-4 years' experience in consulting engineering, in transportation engineering for highways, rail, or traffic engineering preferred. - Valid Driver's License required.
