Summary
The Director, Global Human Resources SBU is responsible for managing and overseeing global HR related business for the Automotive Services SBU under the HARMAN Connected Services Division. The incumbent will lead the development of the appropriate HR related business plans and solutions by parterning with the Automotive Services leadership team to drive and implement HR programs, policies and procedures that will successfully grow and maintain a suitably skilled and well-motivated workforce that meet HARMAN’s current and future HR requirements.
Responsibilities
- Formulate a partnership across HR to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. - Will provide human resources consultation and communication to both management and employees in the areas of employee advocacy, policies and procedures, retention, rewards and internal issues. - Consult with hiring managers and partner with Talent Acquisition to develop and implement appropriate global recruitment and sourcing strategies for both active and passive talent, paying particular attention to HARMAN’s Diversity & Inclusiveness initiatives and creative sourcing techniques. - Partner with Talent Acquisition to build a strong candidate pipeline, as appropriate. - Will lead talent management initiatives to include performance management, merit planning, and target setting for the SBU. - Responsible for organizational design, personnel forecasting, process flowcharts, and appropriate interface for HR to achieve desired results. - Leverages best practices that foster a culture that promote high employee engagement. - Leads, supports and implements HR projects as required. - Provides advice and direction to managers and employees related to all aspects of performance management to include but not limited to, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, training & development.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline. - A minimum of 7-10 years of increasing responsibility of HR business partner experience. - At least 2-3 years with global organizational design and development - At least 2 years of recruiting and staffing experience. - Strong communication and consultative skills - Works collaboratively in group situations - Ability to multitask and make quick decisions - Relevant experience in creating and leading global HR programs. - Project leadership experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Masters degree in Human Resources or related filed. - PHR designation is a plus. - Previous experience working in a global company - Should have some familiarity in the areas of software/hardware engineering and product development within the automotive industry. **Eligibility Requirements:** - Willingness to travel 10-15%. - Willingness to work in a Novi office. - Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test. - HARMAN will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
