Summary
Provide technical guidance to support personnel (designers, analysts, mechanics, manufacturing, purchasing, etc.) and may include leading project teams. The primary function of this position will be to design and develop systems in support of the Product Plan. This includes coordination of design, analysis, and development activities as required to deliver a final system or component design that meets the technical performance specifications established for the assigned project.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timely completion of tasks using engineering tools such as CAD models and drawings, predictive analysis and conventional engineering calculations with documentation supporting the analysis. The candidate may also initiate a project plan to demonstrate conformance that supports the overall program timing.
Ideal Candidate
The candidate will be required to lead and document DFMEA exercises, provide documented periodic project status updates, initiate Test Incident Report closures, convey design requirements to all effected stakeholders and will write final project reports. The ability to interact with other functional areas such as styling, purchasing and manufacturing is required. In this role it is necessary to interact with the Engineering Labs. This will entail initiating and tracking Work Requests, defining test protocols, analyzing test results and providing direction to mechanics and technicians. **Education Required:** * Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field. Master’s Degree preferred. **Experience Required:** * Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
