Responsibilities
- This position is accountable for the company’s overall strategic marketing plan that includes business and market development, market research and planning, marketing plans and strategies to support sales plans and objectives, overall brand development and communication, strategic development and campaign implementation of vertical markets and lines of businesses, internal brand communications, customer relations communication programs, media relations, overall corporate communications, and social responsibility activities. - The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is a member of Hargrove’s executive team and reports to the Chief Operating Officer while working closely with the Vice Presidents of Creative Services, Events, and Trades and Exhibits and members of our sales team. - This position also includes collaboration with Hargrove’s ownership. This position requires a seasoned marketing professional/executive experienced in the events, experiential marketing, trade shows, and/or production and general contractor industries. Responsibilities and Duties - Serve as the chief marketing professional of the company driving market strategies for the company and its lines of businesses, products and services. - Develop specific marketing plans, campaigns and activities that achieve Hargrove’s corporate and marketing objectives. - Responsible for the company’s corporate identity that supports its overall brand. Drive brand strategies and overall brand awareness and communications programs that ultimately achieve corporate objectives. - Develop marketing plans and campaigns to support specific sales goals and activities to include: technical support in developing and writing proposals; strategic support and direction for responding to sales opportunities; strategic and technical support in creating collateral material; market research activities and competitive analysis; targeted campaigns for specific vertical marketing objections; strategic plans and campaigns that support sales strategic goals and objectives; database development and support for the support of marketing/sales campaigns, etc. - Develop and implement a media relations program; serve as corporate spokesperson with the media; work with key executives as it relates to their representation of the company with the media. - Develop a strong relationship with key media, specifically with industry leading media outlets. - Determine the overall paid and editorial coverage and develop supporting marketing strategies that leverages media to promote Hargrove’s brand while achieving overall marketing objectives - Develop other media campaigns and strategies to include all electronic and active social media campaigns tied to achieving marketing and sales objectives including website design and management, imagery and messaging, corporate/sales/customer email campaigns, intranet management/usage, face book, twitter and other electronic and social media marketing efforts. - Develop strategic plans and oversee implementation for all industry related activities to include speaking engagements, exhibiting and sponsorship programs, sales or other promotional events, etc. - Oversee the day to day management of the marketing department and work closely with creative services, sales, and executive leadership.
Ideal Candidate
- Masters degree or comparable experience in marketing communications field - 10+ years of experience in Marcom, or Marketing and/or Communications experience - Extensive industry related experience - Extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of Marcom - Client interfacing/management skills (verbal & written) - Exceptional written skills.
