Summary

Halff Associates has an immediate opening for an experienced GIS Analyst in our Richardson, TX location to provide support for GIS database development and engineering related studies to our Water Resources Engineering department.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include converting data between GIS and CAD systems; creating and editing shapefiles, geodatabases, and raster datasets; analyzing spatial relationships; and working with LIDAR and aerial mapping derivatives for the creation of digital terrain models (Terrains, TINs, and DEMs).

Ideal Candidate

BS degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or other GIS related field
Working knowledge of general GIS concepts (topology, relationships, queries, etc.)
ArcGIS Desktop v10.x and its associated extensions (3D, Spatial, Network, etc.)
Advanced Microsoft Office Desired Skills: Model Builder, Python, AutoCAD, Microstation, LiDAR analysis tools, Microsoft Access, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-GeoHMS, and ArcSDE.
