Summary
The Financial Analyst will support the Hain US (Snacks, Personal Care, Baby, and Pantry) business units with financial analysis, business planning and management reporting. In this position, the individual will work with Marketing, Sales and Operations to deliver profit and business objectives of brands. S/he will provide Management with ad hoc financial analysis for better decision making.
Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly financial results - Analyze performance vs. budget, forecast revision and prior year. Determine brand rate-volume-mix, along with explanations. * Analyze volume related expenses, e.g. brokerage commission, order fulfillment, trade accruals, etc. * Track and control Marketing budgets. * Support annual and quarterly planning process with Finance team, including analyzing volume forecasts and spending, identifying key drivers of change. * Determine key customer profitability, integrating all areas of direct expense. * Assess SKU level sales and profit margin contribution for brand revitalization projects. * Perform cost/benefit analysis for ad hoc projects. * Assist with strategic plans and mergers and acquisitions, mainly with financial modeling. * Participate in the transition and integration of new business acquisitions. * Load data into Hyperion Essbase system and validate data integrity. * Reconcile Hyperion Essbase across the different databases and manage databases for Finance team. * Drive continuous improvement and standardization in the finance area.
Ideal Candidate
* 3 years of related finance experience supporting divisions or business units. * Previous CPG experience critical and necessary. * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA desirable. * Superior critical thinking skills, with high-level financial modeling and strong computer skills. * Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced changing environment. * Detail oriented, with capability to complete complex assignments with minimal supervision. * High intellectual capacity, quick-minded and go-getter personality. * Oracle Hyperion knowledge a plus.
