Summary
The basic purpose of the Production Team Member is to manually tend mixers, ovens, machines or other equipment during the manufacturing process. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Manually place and feed bread products onto conveyor line for product packaging process and distribution. * Manually place finished product into cases and trays for packaging * Manually assemble pallets of product, stacking boxes on pallets in preparation for storage and distribution to warehouse. * Perform cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and facilities. May disassemble and reassemble machinery for cleaning according to instructions. May repair or replace defective parts, as training allows. * Inspects finished product for quality. * Load, unload and/or transfer or deliver products or raw materials using hoists, hand trucks, pallet jacks or powered lift trucks, as training allows * Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary. * Follow all Food Safety guidelines, such as, but not limited to: * GMP’s * Allergen Program * HACCP * Sanitation * Safety * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to lift 15 pounds 2000-3000 times a day. Must be able to lift 20 pound trays 450 times a day. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to tolerate air-borne particulate matter, i.e. flour dust. Must be able to tolerate loud noise from bakery machinery. * One to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, checklists, forms and equipment instruction manuals that are written in English. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to work flexible hours and overtime. Good attendance and dependability a must. * Strong safety record * Ability to meet attendance guidelines. * Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
