Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for brand oversight and the development and creation of all creative assets at Gulfstream Park including printing, web, and advertising. **Major Responsibility Areas:** - Aids in the development of artwork and conceptual designs to support all casino marketing efforts. - Strong understanding and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory in both print and digital media. - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexities, meeting tight deadlines and thrive under pressure. - Provide design leadership for specific creative projects from concept to execution - Expert in current graphic design practices. - Train and develop designers and artists to achieve team objectives and personal growth. - Outstanding interpersonal communication and leadership skills. - Plan design and layout concepts based on gathered research and project requirements. - Prepare finished copies and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment. - Creates promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures. - Must think creatively to produce accurate and high-quality work. - Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art. - Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment. - Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. - Develop great work within guidelines and budget of the assignment. - Ensures brand appropriateness of all collateral in order to elevate and protect the brand - Stay current with changes in technology and demonstrate technical competence.

- Associates in realted field or equivalent. - Must have 5+ years of design experience. - Heavy graphic production experience required along with copywriting skills and photography direction in both Macintosh and PC environments. - Proficient in Flash, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. - Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, customers, outside community groups. - Strong verbal communication skills required. - Exceptional creativity and innovation. - Professional approach to time, cost and deadline.
