Summary
Guggenheim is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join its fast-paced product team. This person will be part of a collaborative team responsible for the development and oversight of the firm’s mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and variable annuities. The role presents an opportunity for a motivated candidate to participate in, and contribute to the growth of the organization and success of the business. As the Product Manager focused on the firm’s fixed income product line, you will work closely with senior management, investment teams, marketing, operations, finance, and legal focusing on distribution support of the fixed income product suite as well as researching and developing new products. The ideal candidate possesses a demonstrated understanding of financial markets and fixed income asset classes, excellent presentation skills, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
Responsibilities
* Sales team training and partnership * Participation and presentation in client events, meetings and calls * Communication of regular market and fixed income portfolio updates * Development of effective messaging, insight and sales training material * Partner with marketing to ensure consistency of product positioning and messaging * Remain current on industry trends and key competitor product offerings * Develop business cases for new products and solutions * Drive internal approval of new product ideas * Work closely with internal partners (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to launch new products * Evaluate current product line for potential modifications and rationalization
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics preferred; Master’s degree in business a plus * Minimum 7 to 10 years of asset management industry experience * Understanding of financial product design, product positioning and distribution markets * Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong internal networks with individuals from a variety of departments and management levels * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills * Demonstrated project management experience and ability to function in a deadline-driven environment * Detail oriented individual with the ability to work independently and maintain high standards * CFA a plus
