Serves as Agency Administrator as defined in SEC. 19-13-D66 of the State of Connecticut public health code. Responsible for the management of Greenwich Hospital Home Hospice Care's clinical services. This includes the coordination and integration of current clinical programs as well as development and implementation of new clinical programs. Responsibilities
* Directs, plans, budgets, staffs, and implements the programs of the agency to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care is provided and regulatory compliance is maintained. * Directs the daily management of GHHC's clinical programs to include adequate, effective staffing and the development of policies, procedures, and action plans. * Ensures all Human Resource functions are within regulatory requirements including competencies, evaluations, and credentialing. * Promotes CQI initiatives within the department and the hospital and serves as liaison among the governing authorities, its committees, the Professional Advisory Committee, and staff. * Organizes the internal clinical operations to ensure optimum financial return to GHHC. * Provides accurate and current consultation and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. * The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* EDUCATION * BSN, 2 years supervisory experience in a Medicare-certified/State licensed home care agency/department. MSN, MPH, or MS in Health Care Administration preferred. CT Licensed RN, RN MSN HOSPICE CERTIFIED * SPECIAL SKILLS * Must meet current Connecticut Department of Health Services requirement for a Home Health Administrator and Director of Clinical Services. Drivers license. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong management skills and computer skills, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while simultaneously managing interruptions. * PHYSICAL DEMAND * Busy office environment with many interruptions. Substantial stress due to complex professional/operating environment; regulatory controls; competition. Must be able to speak and hear in a manner understood by most people, be able to read regular type, and communicate by telephone. A high level of energy and physical endurance; standing/walking more than half the day; frequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting.
