As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the manufacturability of all coffee roasting, batching, and grinding systems. Superior written and verbal communication skills and proven project management ability are a must, as you will partner with cross-functional teams to continually improve our coffee processing equipment and methods.
Responsibilities
* Manage production output, quality, cost, and safety of coffee roasting and grinding lines * Partner with multi-site Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new equipment into the manufacturing process * Deliver increased uptime and product quality through root cause analysis and problem solving, data-driven analysis and decision making, and waste elimination * Lead formal, structured problem-solving exercises with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to identify and eliminate recurring quality, safety, and productivity issues * Ensure that trainers in production and maintenance fully understand the developed standard work and standard operating procedures.
Ideal Candidate
**The Manufacturing Engineer must have:** * B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering * At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing production facility * Ability to make data-driven decisions, using statistical and graphical analysis tools * Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and other manufacturing continuous process-improvement theories * Proven success using CPI tools and leading lean manufacturing events * Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence the work of others * Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs like Excel, MS Project, Word, and Power Point * Ability to travel regularly.
