Summary
Monitor the progress of field construction / quantity take-off activities assuring compliance with project plans and specifications in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the tracking of quantities and associated job costs. * Communicate with foremen and superintendents to ensure work is being done in an efficient manner. * Perform quantity take-off. * Assist in the coordination and tracking of equipment and materials. * Assist with community relations. * Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc. * Communicate with the Project Manager / Estimator on the status of current operations. * Additional responsibilities as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Civil Engineering, Construction or applicable degree in progress. * Desire to work in the Heavy Construction industry. **Required Skills & Knowledge:** * Proficiency with MS Office applications. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Self-motivated * Strong interpersonal skills. **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
