Senior DBA

Headquartered in midtown Manhattan, Gogotech is an online retail group operating multiple websites and developing unique creative content.

This position will require both Microsoft SQL Server database administration and SQL development skills and report directly to the Director of Infrastructure & Business Intelligence.

* Monitoring the health and performance of multiple databases * Tuning indexes, stored procedures and more for performance, scalability and security * Responsibly handling confidential data and assisting with compliance goals * Managing data replication and automated jobs * Administering permissions and improving our overall security posture * Making recommendations to improve databases or database servers * Managing database backups and data recovery efforts * Promote code changes from the development team to the production environment

* SQL authoring, trouble-shooting and analysis skills (stored procedures, functions, ad-hoc) * Managing Microsoft Transactional Replication Publications, resolving bottle-necking, merge-conflicts and ensuring data integrity at source and destination servers * Troubleshooting dead-locks, various wait types, slow-running code and resource contention * Index tuning, database integrity checks, backups, managing jobs, analyzing logs, managing user/role security and other such database administration tasks **Highly Desired Experience** * Double-Take Replication * Data Warehousing/OLAP/SSAS * SSRS * Disaster Recovery * SQL Clusters * Patch management * Database Platform/Major Version Migrations * Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS * Confio Ignite * Red-Gate Tools
