The Website Design Pro will be responsible for designing and building creative, contemporary website themes based on provided vertical market criteria. This role will focus on expanding our Theme Gallery to support the department’s efforts in satisfying our customers’ website needs. This person will need the requisite design and development skills to be able to conceptualize multiple design approaches for the same set of criteria, create the designs using various design applications, and then construct the individual themes meeting all QA standards and optimizing for SEO.

* Design high-caliber website themes to fit specific vertical markets, based on multiple design directives * Execute theme designs using GoDaddy website building tools and WordPress * Ensure finished themes are optimized for SEO and meet all QA requirements * Create associated, comprehensive documentation, for use by all roles within the Professional Web Services team in their work with customers throughout the requirements process * Perform routine theme maintenance, including refreshing designs and correcting errors * Stay current with design trends, techniques, and software capabilities to constantly improve our product/process

* 2+ years experience in designing and building websites, for multiple brands in a high-volume environment * 2 or 4 year degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred * Proficient in the use of design software, including Photoshop and Illustrator * Previous WordPress experience including WooCommerce, as well as knowledge of GoDaddy’s Website Builder * Fluency in HTML and CSS * Ability to design creatively, in multiple styles, given specific criteria and art-direction * Current knowledge and desire to keep pace with web design trends, technologies and developments as the industry evolves, to meet our customers’ changing needs * Familiar with design best practice for layouts, typography and usability * Experience in website performance and QA compliance testing * Online portfolio is required and should reflect prior experience/work that you have done for past clients * Prior experience working within a UX team, Development Organization, Design Agency, or Marketing function is preferred!
