Responsibilities

GBSI is searching for a Java Developer in support of the Information Technology Training Support (ITSS) contract in Pensacola, FL.

**The Java Developer will:**

* Code, test, debug, implement and document basic programs;
* Assist in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user;
* Assist in the research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements;
* Assist in preparing documentation to change existing programs;
* Perform data analysis to support internal and external project needs;
* Design basic programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs;
* Write specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity;
* Participate in the entire software process including requirements, design, implementation, testing, maintenance and documentation;
* Analyze legacy web applications to assist in design and development of replacement applications using JEE technologies;
* Perform database programming and data manipulation in support of web applications;
* Perform occasional application server configuration changes (such as data sources and deployments) in support of web applications;
* Work with front end and back office customers to produce requirements, develop enhancements and solve production issues.

Ideal Candidate

Work & Educational Experience:

US citizenship is required for this position;
General - Four (4) years of progressive experience in a computer related field. The Java Developer should possess proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment and proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
Specialized - Two (2) years of hands-on experience with web technology products (e.g., J2EE, JAVA, HTML, XML, etc.);
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline.

Required Certifications:

IAWF IAT Level II Certification (GSEC or Security+ce or SSCP or CCNA-Security)

Clearance:

Secret (active) required to start work
