Business Systems Analyst for Financial Systems

GitHub is looking for a full-time Financial Systems Analyst to join our new Business Systems team to manage, scale, and expand our Financial systems and technology. The Business Systems Team is a new addition to GitHub that's developing new ideas to help scale the company as it moves to the next level. Tasked with the exciting challenges of the growing company, you will be expected to find new capabilities, recommend best practices to our business parters, recommend business systems of choice, and drive their implementations and integration.

**The Role** We're looking for someone who will materially advance our business and culture. Your role will be the administrator and gate-keeper of our Financial Systems, assist in building out our vision for business systems including business process designs, system implementations, project management, change management, training and information security compliance. We are ever-evolving and improving so you will be on the lookout for ways to enhance our internal processes and how to impact those improvements in our systems. You'll partner with other awesome teams here at GitHub, such as Finance (Accounting and Strategic Finance), Product, Sales, Marketing and Engineering to transform their challenges into systems-driven solutions. Collectively, we're a resourceful bunch that enjoys mastering new and sometimes difficult subject matters, strives for efficient and effective processes, and works both independently and as part of a goal-oriented team. Our primary customers are our internal business partners. We like to make sure they are set up to be successful by assisting in general change management during the introduction of process or system changes. Training and documentation is key though we're tactful in how we roll these out to keep us all nimble and focused on executing. This position is based in our San Francisco office and reports to the Business Systems Manager, Financial Systems. **Responsibilities** * Administer, design, and scale our Record-2-Report and Procure-2-Pay processes and systems (GL, PO, AP, AM, RevRec, Financial Reports) * Assist to build business systems roadmap to include business process design, system implementations, project management, change management, training and information security compliance * Build cross-functional partnerships in order to translate business requirements into systems-driven solutions * Support continuous improvement and evaluate impact and prioritization of individual projects * Document end-2-end business processes, maintain best practices, procedures, and controls established within the internal financial reporting systems * Collaborate with leadership across all functions to drive decisions and execution plan * Maintain professional knowledge and skill relating to security, compliance, technology and best practices and make recommendations for process or service improvements, cost reductions and efficiencies * Other duties as assigned

* 2-3 years of work experience in Financial or related systems administration * Experience working with Netsuite, Zuora, CallidusCloud, SFDC, or Coupa * Proven track record of cross functional collaboration * Knowledge of financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cashflow) * Ability to work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment with some ambiguity and a need for directing energy and thinking * Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills * Self-starter and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks
