Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in the in-force rate action pricing initiatives of Long Term Care (LTC) insurance products to meet market requirements while maintaining the company's profitability and risk management objectives * Lead the development of justification, filings, objection responses, and financial quantification of rate actions on in force LTC business * Manage the work flow and development of a team of up to five student actuaries * Assist with building and maintaining pricing models * Develop tools to aid in the pricing of Long Term Care products * Support policy form filings, including preparing exhibits for actuarial memoranda and reviewing technical aspects of policy forms * Evaluating current processes to recommend improvements in efficiency or effectiveness
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics and/or related major * Career Associate, Fellow, or near Fellow of Society of Actuaries * Member of the American Academy of Actuaries * 7+ years of relevant actuarial pricing experience with Long Term Care insurance * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities * Strong project management skills * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Strong programming skills and experience in Microsoft applications of Excel, VBA, Access and Word
