Junior Designer

In this role the Junior Design Engineer will utilize their experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. Lead and coordinate design activities, establish product definition, drawings, specifications, and BoMs using design tools. Develop the necessary files in various additive manufacturing software programs to translate engineering designs to files that allow 3D printing of parts.

* Independently perform most design assignments * Interface with Program Managers, Design Engineers, Sourcing, Quality and Manufacturing * Use design tools like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks / Creo / NX ), Netfabb, Magics * Possess an open mind and innovative mentality to lead development of cutting edge technology * Ability to work smoothly with other design engineers to provide information on how to utilize the characteristics of additive manufacturing

**Qualifications/Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED and minimum of 4 years’ experience as a designer) * You Must be willing to work out of an office in Imperial, PA (Pittsburgh area) **Desired Characteristics:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering is preferred * Prior experience as a Designer with at least six full projects successfully completed is preferred * Knowledge of using design CAD tools and demonstrated experience in use * Ability to work in teams and achieve targets * Independent thinker and worker who can operate with little direction, but is still comfortable working in a collaborative environment * High level of precision and logical thinking * Ability to work in a global environment * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
