IT Engineering Tools Specialist

The GDMS Information Technology (IT) organization has an immediate opening for an experienced IT Engineering Tools Specialist to join our growing teams. Persons seeking this position must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks.

* Manage engineering tool licenses using license management tools such as Flexnet Mgr, FlexLm * Work with SW tool suppliers to ensure that engineering and Mission Systems is getting the best value for our entitlements. * Assist supply chain in the negotiation of vendor agreements and maintenance contracts. * Build strong working relationships with engineering and the tool suppliers. * Monitor and analyze the tool usages to ensure that we have the optimal entitlements. * Work with engineering and the application teams to reduce, consolidate, and optimize the tool portfolio. * Facilitate, plan, and assist in negotiations for enterprise supplier agreements for reengineering tools.

* Strong skills in engineering tool license management applications, such as Flexnet Mgr, FlexLm * Thorough understating of product families for Mentor Graphics, PTC, Mathworks, Ansys, IBM, and other MCAD/ECAD,Systems & SW engineering design tools * Experience in reviewing and optimizing engineering application licensing needs at the enterprise level. * Experience with Mentor Graphics bi annual remix process * Familiarity with supply chain processes related to purchasing new software and annual support renewals * Proven organizational skills including: a facility to handle multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously; a track record of exercising independent judgment appropriately; and the ability to quickly understand and execute complex assignments when working on high profile outcomes with inherent risk * Solid presentation, oral/written communication, and inter-personal skills including the ability to: anticipate, influence & adapt to a wide range of audiences; cultivate relationships and leverage organizational understanding to facilitate decision making and buy-in * Modest Business Travel May Be Required
