Summary
General Assembly is looking for a regulatory intern to assist in building and implementing the processes around regulatory compliance in our US markets as well as the online education sphere. General Assembly exists as an education company, and that comes with strict guidelines from the state concerning our campus operations and record retention. The regulatory intern would communicate with our course production and admissions teams in all of our US markets to ensure that GA’s teams across the country are maintaining compliance. An ideal Regulatory Intern will be incredibly detailed-oriented with a strong interest in the law, technology, and education.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining a scheduled correspondence with our course production and sales teams across all US markets * Building manageable operational processes around remaining licensed and compliant in all of GA’s markets * Organize and maintain documents in electronic filing systems. * Assist with legal and compliance projects including due diligence requests and communicating with outside regulatory agencies, as directed by in-house counsel. * Assist in the development and deployment of trainings that highlight rules and regulations that GA must adhere to successfully meet legal requirements.
Ideal Candidate
* Current undergraduate student that is available to start this current fall semester * Ability to clearly articulate compliance requirements to a non-compliance audience. * Great attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness. * High level of personal integrity, interest in the law, education, and technology. * Ability to multi-task while meeting strict timelines, outstanding time management. * Strong analytical skills and common sense are critical. * Highly motivated with capability to work with minimum supervision on a wide range of matters. * Strong verbal and written skills, including the ability to be clear and concise.
