General Assembly is a venture-backed, NYC-based startup focusing on education for individuals and enterprises in the areas of technology, design, and entrepreneurship. We currently have physical classrooms in 15 cities across 4 continents, with tens of thousands of students coming through our doors.
Summary
We are looking for a B2B Copywriter with experience crafting compelling narratives about education and training solutions for businesses and large enterprises across a broad range of print and web formats. This individual’s primary focus will be to develop B2B marketing content, as well as to support the positioning and syndication of this content across various marketing programs and channels to drive lead generation and awareness of General Assembly’s Enterprise suite. You’ll work cross-functionally and collaboratively with the following teams: Sales, Events, Copy, Design, Email Marketing, and PR.
Responsibilities
* Positioning B2B marketing content across programs and channels (web, digital, social, events, PR). * Ensuring brand voice and business pillars are clearly and effectively executed across B2B messaging. * Crafting concise, powerful storytelling across a broad range of collateral including, but not limited to: white papers, blog posts, web pages, social media, email, ads, curriculum, eBooks. * Strategizing on content execution with stakeholders and the Copy and Design teams.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience crafting B2B content, with knowledge of developing talent, digital leadership, and technology (coding, data, design, digital marketing, product management) * 3+ years content development and copywriting, with experience crafting a majority of the types of assets listed above * 2-4 years in a marketing role with cross-functional and cross-channel experience (email, social, events, digital, PR) * Proficiency in: long- and short-form copywriting, copy and content editing, AP Style, CMS (WordPress, Medium, Drupal), Google Docs, Keynote * Familiarity with: Adobe Creative Suite, project management systems (JIRA)
