Geisinger Health System’s Cardiac Imaging Research Lab is seeking candidates for Post-doctoral Fellow and/or Research Scientist positions, with a background in Computational Science and Programming. We aim to improve the lives of patients with cardiovascular disease through the development, implementation and utilization of state-of-the-art imaging and image processing technologies.

Current Focus

• Leveraging imaging as a quantitative phenotype for genomic exploration.

• Uncovering new information in cardiovascular images to improve patient care.

• Exploring the clinical utility of new cardiovascular imaging techniques.

Funding through NIH Director's Award + other internal & external grants. Scanners: Siemens 3T Trio & Siemens 1.5T Aera, clinical and research Extensive and well-established electronic medical records system Prospective large-scale human genomics project Active cardiovascular research group including advanced imaging Strong external collaborations with top universities

Education and Experience

• PhD (in engineering, computer science or related field)
• Experience required in MATLAB, C++, image processing and machine learning
