Project Manager

Gearbox Software is an award-winning independent developer of interactive entertainment based in Plano, Texas.

• Work closely with the Senior Producer and provide oversight of the master schedule and help manage team resources.
• Oversee and mentor a team of scrum masters all working toward a unified goal.
• Assist production team with risk tracking and management.
• Keep an eye on project scope and ensure proper capacity planning.
• Be aware of project budgets and stay within the set financial constraints.
• Provide clear and concise reports and easy to understand data points for evaluation by SNR producer and upper management, (using tools like Jira).
• Evaluate processes and introduce improvements as needed.

• 3+ years of experience managing large, complex projects, with a firm grasp of video game development.
• Understanding of various project management techniques, including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall.
• Expertise with a variety of tools, including Jira, Agile.
• Shipped at least 1 AAA title in the same role.
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in Scrum and PMP/PMI a plus.
