Summary
A growing independent insurance agency is currently seeking an Account Executive to join their team of insurance professionals. The Agency provides a wide range of property and casualty insurance products for the needs of individuals, families, and businesses living in Connecticut.
Responsibilities
* Completes necessary training/licensing required for the position. * Develops a base for long-term sources of clients by utilizing referrals, special networking groups, agency mailing campaigns, online resources, prospecting lists with call schedules, and community involvement. * Determines client’s individual insurance needs. * Provides continuing service to clients.Works closely with service staff and company underwriters to secure new business and retain existing business. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational requirements and opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations

**Attributes of a Qualified Candidate:** * Displays sound judgment and decision making skills * Self-motivated and disciplined * Strong computer skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task * Must be able to work independently as well as jointly * Hard working & dedicated **Account Executive Skills and Qualifications:** * Prospecting skills * Meeting sales goals * Motivation for sales * Focus in on customer needs * Relationship building * Math and analytical skills **Educational Requirements:** * 2-4 year degree preferred, but not required.Connecticut property & casualty license preferred but not required for the right candidate. * Qualified candidates should be licensed with one year sales experience and Associates degree, preferred.
