Database Developer

FuseFX is an award-winning visual effects studio that provides visual effects services for film, television, commercials, games, and special venues.

FuseFX is an Emmy award-winning visual effects and animation studio focused on producing photo-real digital effects for feature film, episodic television and commercials.

• Maintain and develop in-house database solutions and APIs
• Maintain feature requests and troubleshooting tickets
• Assist in defining database structure with a focus on speed and efficiency
• Work with management and department heads to come up with solutions to complex issues.

REQUIRED:

• 5 years experience with SQL-based database development and web site development

• Strong knowledge of relational database design

• HTML / CSS / JavaScript programming

• Good design skills with a focus on efficiency and user experience

• Knowledge of Python and PHP scripting languages

• Familiarity with Image file formats including JPG, DPX, EXR, QuickTime

• Experience with AppleScript and command-line statements

PREFERRED:

• BA degree or equivalent

• FileMaker database development experience

• Certified FileMaker developer

• Knowledge of FileMaker plug-ins and their use when applicable

• Experience with multi-site database synchronization

• Knowledge of Active Directory

• Knowledge of networking and storage systems

• Experience developing OS X and Windows database applications
