Manager of Data Scientist

Reporting directly to the US CRO, the Manager, Data Scientist will be responsible for building best in class underwriting/marketing decision models to drive credit & marketing performance of the Funding Circle portfolio. The ideal candidate has a wealth of credit risk modeling & analytics experience in the financial services space and a quantitative background.

* Develop Underwriting & Marketing models to drive Credit performance of Funding Circle portfolio. This involves synthesis of information across Commercial & Consumer data sources and combining in a seamless manner * Responsible for tracking model performance & data quality checks * Deliver on ad hoc analysis to: * Explore new data sources that help to improve risk discrimination * Identify segments of population where model performance can be improved e.g. segments with high Underwriter overrides * Lead in the development of enhanced models and explore new modeling techniques * Perform peer review of models
